Yes, They’re Alive!

This is my collection I acquired over a span of 20 some years. It consists of American carnival prize toys, mannequin heads, limbless dancers and just weird figurines. Hundreds and hundreds of them!
There was one rule to my collection…they had to be bruised by life!
I choose’em, I pick’em, I let’em party!
I am the one who proclaims their greatness.
I introduce them to each other,
I draw their lifelines.
I create their stories.
I play God!
And oh boy, it feels good!

Of course there are hundreds more…

…fatal Love triangles…

…lovers…

…and more lovers…

…left behind children of nazi criminals post Nuremberg Trials……

…abandoned genetic mistakes…

…hoards of kitties…

…tamed by their Master…

…orphaned doggies…

…oh, they found their new keeper!…

A woman of a complicated past.

(Thought of a Lina Wertmüller movie when I looked at this photo)

Next week I will talk about my work on the new group of paintings dedicated to my collection.
